A bit about the role…


As a Margin Analyst you will be part of the UK Commercial Team reporting to the Pricing and Margin Manager and responsible for proactively driving the overall margin potential of existing customers in line with the UK operating model.  Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Delivery of margin rate, cash and sales growth
  • Price increases and any increased cost passed onto customers within agreed contractual timelines.
  • Price revision dates are met within timelines
  • Category Penetration
  • Quality of SFDC inputs
  • Ensure margin targets are met on all retenders/quotes requiring inputs or analysis
  • Ensure all margin data in customer P&L for retenders is accurate and within set targets
  • Prioritise workloads to ensure quality inputs into the QBR cycle
  • Provide cyclical and ad hoc margin data reporting to the BU and Central functions as detailed by management
  • Be able to identify the low contribution account and do Analysis on P&L to identify further areas and propose clear actions that will help improve the overall profitability of the account

What you’ll need to succeed…

  • Strong business and commercial acumen - able to make strong commercial proposals and decision
  • Advanced Excel knowledge   - essential
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to interact with all levels of Management and other Company Departments
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, with excellent attention to detail
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Margin / pricing experience
  • Experience within industry / product knowledge desirable
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Highly motivated, natural achiever with excellent time-management skills
  • Experience of BI reporting systems
