Purchase Forecasting

Forecasts collected from our customers are combined with historical sales volumes and translated into purchase projections.

You communicate forecasts to the vendors and track forecast accuracy.

You maintain vendor relationships to assure highest product availability.


Purchase Order management

You will be trained to work on our planning system (preferably, you have worked on such a system before) to manage the entire PO processing.

By parameter setting, you will optimize purchase against inventory costs and ensure product availability, all according targets.

Being at the start and finish of the buying cycle, you will maintain a good relationship with merely all functions within Staples.

Communication is a very important part of your daily job.


Sales Order management

Understanding the process of customer orders will help you to filter and exchange correct information within the team. You will be able to find quicker solutions to backorders and out of stocks on the sales side and prioritize purchases and inbound planning to support this.

You will be able to back-up your colleague(s) to process customer orders and assist in all order related tasks.


Central role & Back office

Being at a central point in the organization, you are representing the EU organization and the Staples brand. Your actions always keep the general Staples’ interest in mind.


While you get to know the challenges in our department, we will work as a team on simplifying, designing and documenting current and new processes.  Other special tasks and projects will make your role even more interesting as you can participate in projects on Supply Chain improvement or system change.




  • Bachelor degree or equivalent level achieved through experience.
  • Relevant experience in supply chain planning (2-3 yrs).
  • Excellent PC skills (Excel and Access). Knowledge of SAP (MM, SD) is an asset.
  • Excellent English both written and spoken.

  • Strong analytical skills, eye for detail.
  • Be responsible, show initiative.
